What did students accomplish?
1. Students developed visual and verbal skills through two-dimensional art.
2. Students gained confidence in discussing and creating works of art in two dimensions.
3. Students learn more about themselves through art.
4. Students expanded their knowledge of artists and art historical trends and periods.
One of the essential skills we worked on was creating value. Value in art is the darkness or lightness of a tone or color, and value is one of the three building blocks of art and is best visualized as a scale or gradient from dark to light.
